Designing and printing since the 70s, Liberty Graphics was established when we, as a locally based community of artists and artisans, were looking for a means of support that would not disturb the natural beauty of our rural setting in Liberty, Maine. Founder Tom Opper and his partner, artist Beverly Kocenko, created the company in a tiny trailer on his property and began producing small batches of t-shirts silk-screened by hand. Over the years, appreciation for the art and the process grew in the community and beyond-as well as demand for the high-quality screen prints.

Liberty Graphics' mission is to screen print distinctive art inspired by Nature. We operate with respect for our employees, our customers, and our Earth. We work together to create a respectful working environment, where every employee is valued and appreciated. We believe that operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner will always benefit our employees, our customers, our community, and our company. To find out more about these positions, or get more information about working at Liberty Graphics, please email hr@lgtees.com.
From our early days, Liberty Graphics has used only water-based ink in our printing process. PVC-free water-based ink gives us a healthy workplace and gives our customers a soft-to-the-hand garment. Unlike conventional print shops, the only solvent we need is water. After printing, in our clean up, we filter and reuse the water.
Liberty Graphics offers this scholarship annually to encourage Maine students to continue in their artistic endeavors. The contest is open to all high school seniors who are residents of Maine. The scholarship is worth $1,000. Artwork should reflect on our natural environment and be original works in traditional two-dimensional media; photography & sculpture cannot be considered.

I have been obsessed with Liberty Graphics since the 90s and recently through Instagram discovered them again. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to find the home store was only a few minutes from my friends home where I was visiting! We bought way too many shirts from the "seconds" bins. Shirts with a mistake or were out of print. Honestly felt like I was the one getting the better deal as most shirts were 2nds because they had a design on front AND back. 2 for 1! They're a classic for a reason and everyone in the family was able to find multiple designs they enjoyed. They also sold a few snacks, postcards, books and puzzles.
