Graphic Impressions has been serving the needs of Commercial Print customers for over 40 years. We are a Print Management solution, offering custom On-Demand Printing, Inventory Management and Fulfillment Services. We are located in Charlotte, North Carolina and serve a coast to coast customer base both large and small. Graphic Impressions started out printing forms and stationery from the basement of founder William Galloway's home over 40 years ago. Since that time Graphic Impressions has seen many changes.

Binding Styles Report

Saddle stitched generally are great for books with fewer pages, whereas Perfect bound is usually better for books with many pages. Your sales representative will work with you to determine the proper binding style for your project.

Bleeds Report

As press sheets come off the press, sheets vary slightly in their landing position. To reduce this variation, stacks are jogged. However, it's always best practice to include bleeds because it only takes a fraction of an inch to leave a white edge when cutting down the job. Panels may need to be adjusted by our prepress and or bindery staff.

File Types Report

What type of files should I send? That's a common question. Not all file types are created equally, so it depends on the work and whether or not Graphic Impressions will need to modify/adjust your files. PDF files can be used for many jobs. However, pdf files can be challenging for more complex editing.

Color & Monitors Report

Monitors are notorious for representing color differently from one to the next. Even the same make and model can show colors quite differently. For those who remember WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), it's a fallacy. Monitors show projected light whereas hardcopies/press sheets/hard proofs show reflective light.
