I had a 24"X36" color print made at Lumiere. Nikki worked with me to evaluate the image file and print a small proof. Her advice was excellent and thoughtful. The resulting print more than met my expectations. It was clear, sharp, matched the colors of the original image perfectly. The same image was sent to an out-of-town photo lab that was far less expensive.
When comparing the prints, they looked the same until you looked closely. The Lumiere image had truer colors and was sharper. Lumiere's paper was higher quality. The out-of-town lab sent their print rolled tightly and placed in a mailing tube. Just unrolling the print damaged it. The Lumiere print had borders, the out-of-town lab's print did not. If you just want to see what your image looks like printed large, using a low cost lab is just fine, but if you are printing an image for sale or exhibition I highly recommend Lumiere. The personalized service and the professional staff can make your prints every bit as good as your images.

Completely disappointed with the service, after utilizing them in the past. I went in there several weeks ago to inquire about Nielsen frames. I was hoping to get some questions answered, as I had never purchased any Nielsen frames in the past. As I was waiting to get assistance, there was a customer in front of me being assisted by Pat Cain-possibly the owner-who was being extremely rude to the gentleman who was picking something up.
When it was my turn for service, Pat was extremely short and condescending with me, so I decided to not make an order and leave. After doing some research and finding I could order frames online, but they wouldn't get to me by the time I needed, I reluctantly decided to call Lumiere and ask about exhibition frame kits that are advertised on their website, and see if I could just get some info I needed and then go in store and purchase them.
I spoke with Pat again, this time he was much nicer, and was told the frame kits were in-store and I could come and pick them up. When I went in, Pat then told me he would have to purchase the frames. Maybe they sold-out in the time I spoke with them, maybe not. Either way, I'll never utilize their framing or printing services again. Additionally, I've found their printing services are nearly double the cost of other printers in town. I'd highly recommend not using their services.

I was looking for a professional printing lab and decided to try Lumiere based on their well-organized webpage and the variety of quality papers that they offer. I requested my first proof order on different types of paper in order to choose the one that worked better for my photos and was amazed by the results. The level of detail was simply impeccable and my photos looked more like paintings.
But the thing that I appreciate the most about Lumiere is the personalized service that I always receive. Bill and his staff have been extremely helpful not only as to printing but also as to other photo related matters. I feel fortunate to have found such quality printing and recommend Lumiere to anyone looking for a great printing service.

This company used to deliver perfect mats. Not anymore. From the last batch I received in November 2014, 14 were acceptable (not excellent), 5 were poor, and 12 were awful. It took multiple emails to get them to agree to replace the poor work. But, after 4 months, they still haven't. For a while they responded to my email inquiries with excuses. Now they have even stopped responding. I still don't have the mats I paid for. Awful quality; awful customer service.

Thank you for the gentle reminder, Pat. Yes, Pat C. was a real stand-up guy, apologized for the situation that occurred (see original review from 8/28/2014) and redid the framing correctly. I was only charged for the work done correctly. Pat did a wonderful job, as did Beth, who did the prints. That being said, I feel that I need to avoid that manager when I go to Lumiere and never heard a peep from her.
I still feel that her behavior was outrageous and completely inappropriate. Perhaps I should take off more than one star for her, but I have been going to Lumiere for many years and never had a complaint like this before (she was fairly new on the job at the time of the incident last August).
