In 1978 Ed and Sue Kovalski purchased the Ink Spot, and discontinued the school side of the business. Ed strived to build the business into a full service print shop that remained focused on affordable services and products. By 1983 the business had outgrown the State Street location, so Ed & Sue purchased a little building on High Street. As Ink Spot continued to grow, they added on to the building to accommodate new equipment.Recently the Ink Spot has expanded again. In keeping with Ed's intent to make the Ink Spot a full-service shop, we now offer digital printing as well as offset lithography, and letterpress printing.

Services
The Ink Spot offers offset and digital printing services, and has a full-service bindery and art department. Short run, long run, color or black and white, we can print it for you! We don't have to send your work out to get this done, which means we can turn your job around quickly. Our standard turnaround is a week, but many projects can be completed even sooner. Our digital printers allow us to produce beautiful full color work for short runs. We can even digitally print to textured or metallic stock!

Jim and Heather are some of the nicest people. Very knowledgeable and tried to accommodate my special requests. They were very prompt in the turn around time and had me a proof within 24 hours. Didn't even charge me for adding the art work. If you have a PHD in design and art work maybe you can save $25 by going online, but I've had nothing but bad experiences and like the old saying you get what you pay for. The local guy is always going to stand behind their work and the person online could care less if they're even from this country. They sure have earned my business.

Terrific local business that I just recently had the pleasure of working with for the first time. When there was an error in the printing that was most likely my fault, they worked patiently with me to get it fixed. I look forward to having an occasion to go back to them, and I will highly recommend the Ink Spot for anyone's printing needs!

Been working with Inkspot for 8 years and wish I would have reviewed sooner. Jim has been a wonderful asset in our designing and printing of Company brochures, Business cards, Flyers, and yard signs. This is our dedicated printer for our 3 business. We've relocated to portland area and drive to Salem just for the Service and Quality of work! Thanks Jim and Heather for the 8 years of service

I've had to use Ink Spot multiple times for printing baby shower invitations and different types of prints. I have always ordered online, it is super easy and user friendly. Either that day or the next day in the morning I'm contacted to verify my order and within that day or the next day (depending on order size) my order is ready. Prints and invitations look great, the customer service is wonderful. Definitely a place to go if you want to get prints or invitations done.

Got everything setup through emails with Heather. She told me I would receive an email with a proof within a couple of days. It's been weeks now and I haven't received any email with the proof. I've tried emailing several times to find out what is going on and still no response back. Very disappointing.

I used corporate retailers for years for my printing needs. One day I had some tacos at El-tapation and the owner recommended me next door. The staff is friendly and the quality of the product exceeds or meets my expectations. I own a photography company in salem and use this pace for all my printing needs. If your tires of dealing with corporate paper people (Staples, Officemax) then come here and I promise you will be happy :)
