It was the day before Thanksgiving and I had a project I needed turned around in a hurry so I could get out of town and be with family for the holidays. I had used Parachuting Penguins before and liked their pricing and service, so I went in to get some pieces printed. I explained to the gal behind the counter what I needed (25 copies and 6 cuts) and that I was in a hurry.
I had a rough idea of what my project would cost, since I had just had something similar printed there 3 weeks prior. The gal told me she was going to have to get the pricing for me from someone in the back, which seemed fine. She disappeared into the back and was gone for almost 25 minutes. I finally leaned into the doorway she disappeared behind and asked if someone could please help me.
She came back and said they were restructuring their pricing and would need more time to determine the price. I stated that I had printed something there 3 weeks earlier and told her the price I got then. I said I was in a hurry and needed to get out of town, so could she please print the pieces and cut them for me? She apologized and said she needed to go to the back and check.
She disappeared for another 20 minutes. I was very frustrated by the time she came back. She handed me an "estimate" pricing out each piece instead of the 25 copies and 6 cuts I needed. It was more than 4 times the price I had paid just 3 weeks prior. I explained to her that she had now wasted 45 minutes of my time to give me this "estimate" that I thought was outlandish.
I also mentioned it was the day before Thanksgiving and I could have been out finding somewhere else to get it printed. She had the owner come out who said she knew I got a different price three weeks ago, but they had to fire that girl for not giving good pricing. She informed me that the cost to print and cut things was a lot higher than I realized.
I told her that I knew the machines she used to print on were charged a price per click to her and the cutting was a dollar or two per piece. While I wanted her to make money on the deal, I thought the price per piece was outrageous. She then offered to print them and not cut them for a reasonable cost and said she would have them ready for me in 30 minutes from the time I gave her the file.
I had to get signed approval from my boss, so I told her I would return shortly to print the pieces. After getting the approval, I rushed back to Parachuting Penguins to get the copies made. The young man behind the counter asked me to hold on when he got my file, and went to the back of the store. He returned with the owner who I had spoken to earlier and she told me that she didn't appreciate me telling her how to run her business, so she decided that she would not print my copies.
I was dumbfounded. I had wasted almost two hours dealing with them for 25 copies (It was getting late, and the day before Thanksgiving.) and at the last minute, she decided to go back on her word and leave me high and dry with nowhere to get my copies. When I asked her about that, she said I should not tell people how to run their business. Turns out it was a good thing!
I went to Office Depot, and they printed and cut my pieces for less than the cost of the printing at Parachuting Penguins! Their staff was friendly and had their pricing to me within minutes of my request. I wish Parachuting Penguins luck in their endeavor and hope their pricing is working out for them.

I was in town for business and needed a few copies printed and my hotel's printer was on the fritz. The woman at the front desk recommended this company and I couldn't be happier with their service. Top notch to say the least! Open until midnight and their website is easy to navigate and load the file and instructions you need for your project.
They also called after I set up my order online to confirm a few questions and the next morning the presentations were ready to pick up and I was in and out in less than five minutes. This was a great experience and their prices are extremely competitive when compared to other options in the area.
