After a two year stint in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Alan I. Elkin graduated with a degree in business from the University of Colorado. Alan worked as a sales representative with the Burroughs Business Machine Company upon graduation and with the 3M Company from 1956 to 1960, selling copying equipment.

Terrible company, please don't waste your time working or partnering with them. Very judgmental and are not up to date with modern business practices.

Shady Business, be careful when you go to put your two weeks in or working for them in general. They stalked me after not liking the fact I was not willing to work for them the rest of my life. They went after what would of been my new employer as a computer repair tech saying I was in breach of contract and threatened them legally. All their awards of top work places are a facade of the fact they harass their own employees to fill out the surveys. I took it up with the labor board of Maryland and they didn't have the courage to show up to the court hearing to admit what they did was illegal.

We love Advance. They have assisted our company in growing. As our needs as a company changed Advance was there to help us. They are attentive, kind, understanding, highly communicative. Most Importantly they put the customer first. I have had the pleasure of working with Josh Frederick and he is the best customer service rep I have dealt with in the business office services industry.

He is professional, trustworthy, and is highly interested in the success of his clients. I have been with Advance for over 11 years and when I tell competitors that come cold calling that I am with Advance, the competitors know they can not compete with Advance. The sales team is awful. They are like a car dealership or time share presentation. If you don't sign, they start bouncing you around and involving multiple managers to try to finagle you to sign with them. I may or may not sign with them again but it certainly will have nothing to do with their sales people.

Wish I didn't have to leave a negative comment but I have a contract with advance for a copier. We got an error message while trying to scan and email a document. When I called IT to ask what that meant I was told I would be charged $16 a minute for IT services. Seems like a quick fix but not worth $16 a minute. CalledSavin the copier company they told me for free

Anytime we had an issue, a tech came out to solve the problem that day. After having a few bad experiences with OTHER I.T. specialists in the area, we. decided to sign a contract for them to be our new I.T. company.

We are extremely satisfied with their quality of service. All of the employees are professional, personable, and very easy to work with. I started here 3 months ago coming from a large copier manufacturer and it has been a night & day great experience! Advance has an in house dispatch team, onsite parts & warehouse, makes it so much easier to be closer to support the customer. I really enjoy the family atmosphere, a being around happy fun people. Lots of opportunity for growth too.also corporate membership to the Baltimore Maryland Zoo & National Aquarium are free! :-
