Renton Printery, your full-service printer, situated in Renton, serves all of Puget Sound. This may not say enough to those who want to know about us. We concentrate on solving print problems of a more intimate and immediate nature. Problems that you may only confide in with your analyst. In our niche, very few printers around the nation supply a better value per dollar for print services than we do.
Services
We are a proud union based print shop and would be happy to provide printing to those wanting to support local unions. The typical print buyer who requests the union label is usually a political organization, government agency, college or university, other labor unions, or insurance/benefit plans that cater to labor unions. The reason why these organizations request the union label typically boils down to a desire to show support for labor unions.
Envelopes are a crucial component of your corporate identity and can be used for direct mail and correspondence. Personalize your envelopes and establish credibility. These engineering prints and blueprints reproduce architectural and engineering renderings with high definition and contrast. The large size creates an easy-to-read alternative for sharing ideas with clients and contractors and is a low-cost option when a high volume of prints is required. This A-frame is built for quick change graphics, the molded plastic sandwich board has two recessed 22x28 inch graphic areas on the front and back.
Knowing the basic characteristics of everyday bond will hopefully help you understand all other types of paper. The typical paper you use on a basic printer at home is 20lb bond and is.004 of an inch thick. The brightness is around 82, this is a measurement that goes up to around 96. The finish is considered smooth or sometimes wove, that is with a slight texture.
If you are using Indesign, you should take advantage of the Packaging option, (ALT-CONTROL -SHIFT -P), and send us that file. We highly recommend you create a separate folder just for these files; often we get the files without the graphics. Use the best setting you can, and when you email them, do not make them smaller if prompted.

I was looking for a place for future print jobs including business cards, banners for work and freemason events, but the guy there, Rich Sweeney, out of some sort of prejudice or lack of social tact, was dismissive and rude. I needed signs printed out and had the budget well within what he was quoting, but he acted like his parameters were above my head and therefore wasn't worth his time. Working in local business myself, I was excited to do business with these guys, but that left a sour taste for sure. Hopefully, this helps the attitude change there.

I came in several times to get quotes. I finally submitted a few projects a day or two before I needed them. They met my crazy fast deadline and did it at an extremely low price. They also price matched a competitor, since it was my first work with them. They aren't always the cheapest, but they are very fast if you have a short deadline. I will use them again in the future.

I've only used Renton Printery a few times but plan to use them many more times in the future. It's a quirky little shop downtown (totally up my alley) and the staff are so incredibly nice and responsive. At first I wasn't sure how the quality of the products would turn out but they were perfect and so timely. I had a really quick turnaround time of 2 hours for one particular product - amazing!

I called the RP today looking to get 3 reams of paper 3 hole punched. The owner told me that they don't do this type of thing normally, but if it was a one time thing. I explained that I just have 3 reams of paper and would like them 3 hole punched. He asked if I had tried Staples. I said I did and they don't have a drill. He said that I could buy pre punched paper.
I said it was paper that was already printed, (hoping he would honor his one time thing.) Turns out, he didn't. He said he would do it, at a 45$ minimum charge. No thank you. That is way too expensive.

Wish I could tell you about the quality of their work, but I never got the chance. As soon as I told him I only wanted 20 posters printed, he told me to go elsewhere. In his own words, " Hate to give you the bums rush, but I've had this conversation a hundred times." Where was the "Super nice staff" when I called?

The Renton Printery is amazing! I was in need of some printing and am so thrilled to have found Renton Printery by a quick web search. They not only did an excellent job but they did it with a very speedy turnaround. Since then I have reached out to them for additional projects and they have exceeded my expectations every time. I highly recommend Renton Printery for their quality of work, speed and customer service!

I walked into this business hopeful of what I would discover, or at least pointed in the right direction. I am a huge fan of local business. I explained what I wanted for my business cards; one side a faded b/w non-detailed photo, the other black with a logo and phone number. The logo had two words and one line; this and the contact info were just normal fonts.
However the line and the second word I wanted to be in silver. When I explained he told me I was too aggressive with my design. That business cards were a waste of time and nobody uses them. I needed to focus my marketing elsewhere and he wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Yes those are exact words. He also tried to upsell me from my business cards to notepads with my company info on the front.
I asked if there was an alternate way I could achieve a shining silver pop on my cards, he said no, the printers are not capable of that. I asked if he knew of any places that would be capable of what I wanted, he said no and I should think of changing my ideas. He then walked to the back of the shop, with his back to me he said thanks for coming in.
I guess I was dismissed. I was very put off by the experience, had I been told the machines couldn't do what I was looking for because of reasons xyz I would have left with an understanding of that. There was no reason to talk negatively about my design or product or how I wanted to represent myself to prospective clients. I have emailed and talked to other print shops who have led me down paths to get the business card I want without knocking down my ideas and concepts. I will never step foot into this store again and will advise every person to take their business elsewhere.

I wish I could start a fan club for the Renton Printery. I would honestly be a groopie for these folks. They are friendly, fair, honest, well priced, and most of all nice. They bend over backwards to make sure that your order is perfect. They even load it in your car for you when its time to pick it up! Considering that I've considered hiring a hit man to take out the Kinkos organization - this means a lot.
They won't do dinky small jobs - like one or two copies - but for anything substantial they are on it. Brochures, fliers, posters - no problem! Seriously - if you need something printed give 'em a call!
